Rates & Policies

Camping and cabin rates, what's included, check-in times, minimum stays, deposits, cancellation terms, and our campground rules — everything in one place before you book.

Everything you need to know before you book is on this page — rates, what’s included, and the policies that keep Frontier a clean, quiet, family park. Please read through it; when a reservation is made, you agree to all terms and policies below.

Making a reservation

To make a reservation by phone, please call the office at 920-868-3349. To book online, use the Book Now button and follow the instructions.

We take reservations year round. During our closed season, November through April, please allow up to 48 hours for a return call or email, or 24 hours for an email confirmation through our booking engine.

2026 season dates

We are open May 1 through October 20, 2026.

On October 20th we turn the water off at 9:00am. Bathrooms and showers in the pool area stay open until 12:00 noon.

Pumping service is available upon request — free when you stay three or more nights. We don’t have full hook-up/sewer sites, so our mobile honey wagon comes to you. Ask at check-in for details.

Free Wi-Fi is available to all sites. This is an ongoing project — please remember we can only bring Wi-Fi to the site; we can’t bring it inside the camping unit.

Rates are subject to change without notice.

  • Arcade and lawn games — cornhole and more out on the open lawn
  • Air-conditioned adult center
  • Modern bathhouses — showers are 25¢ for five minutes, which helps us maintain hot water and limit wait times, and are closed daily 1:00pm–3:00pm for cleaning

  • Pump-out service on stays of three nights or more
  • Children 17 and under stay free with two paying adults

Site rules & occupancy

  • Door County allows one camping unit per site.
  • For tent sites we allow up to two tents — parents in one, children in the other — if it is the same household. Separate households need separate sites. Screen rooms are not considered tents.
  • You must be 21 years old to rent a site or cabin.
  • All of our sites and select cabins are pet friendly.
  • All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. All tent sites have fire-pit cooking grates.
  • Dates can be adjusted prior to arrival — please call the office. On arrival, any dates reserved will be charged.

Minimum stays

  • Two-night minimum on all sites and cabins.
  • Looking for a one-night stay? Please call the office to discuss availability. A one-night stay is paid in full at the time of reservation and is non-refundable.
  • Three-night minimum for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day weekends.
  • Four-night minimum for July 4th.

Site assignment

You pick your site type when you book, not a site number — once we review your reservation, we place you on the best site available for your camping unit. We will do our best to accommodate a specific site request, but we do not guarantee a specific site number on a stay of less than 5 nights, and we reserve the right to move a requested site at any time, without notice. A one-night stay is only guaranteed a site.

Have a favorite site? Add the site number to the comments box when you book. If you would like to discuss site options, please feel free to make your reservation by phone at 920-868-3349.

Check-in & check-out

  • Camping sites: check in and check out at 12:00 noon
  • Cabins: check in at 3:00pm, check out at 11:00am

For a late check-in, please call the office to discuss our late check-in procedure.

We do not refund for early departures. Camping is an outdoor experience; therefore, we do not refund for the discomforts of nature.

Deposits

  • $50 per site
  • One night’s stay for cabins

Your deposit is deducted off your total on arrival, and is also considered confirmation of your reservation. Should we take a one-night stay, it is paid in full and non-refundable, whether a cabin or a site.

Starting in 2027, a 3% charge is added to all balances paid by credit card on arrival.

Cancellation policy

  • 14 or more days before arrival: your deposit is returned less a $10 processing fee
  • Within 14 days: the deposit is forfeited
  • Within 72 hours of arrival: you are responsible for all nights reserved, and the credit card on file will be charged
  • Same-day cancellations: charged in full to the credit card on file
  • No call, no show: charged in full for all nights reserved, to the credit card on file

Only consider your reservation cancelled once you receive your cancellation email. To change or cancel, please call us at 920-868-3349 rather than rebooking online.

Pets

All sites and select cabins are pet friendly — our pet-friendly cabins are #17, #69, #168, and #227.

  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • There are dog waste stations throughout the campground. Please do not throw dog waste in trash receptacles.
  • If you plan to leave your pet in your camper or cabin while you explore the area, please leave the office a contact number in case an issue arises. No one likes a barking dog.
  • Only service animals are allowed in any building. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals.
  • Please have vaccinations up to date.

Quiet hours

10:00pm to 8:00am.

Any noise should be kept at a level that can only be heard on your site, not your neighbors’. Radios need to be turned off at 10:00pm. Playgrounds close at dusk, and children must be back at their site by dark. All outside activities must be wrapped up by 12 midnight, including fires.

To ensure a quiet park for all, no exceptions to this rule will be made.

Visitors

There is no charge for day visitors — please check in at the office. Visitors must exit the campground by 10:00pm.

Firewood

The DNR does not allow firewood to be brought in from south of the bridges in Sturgeon Bay.

Indoor swimming pool

  • Friday and Saturday: 9:00am – 10:00pm
  • Sunday through Thursday: 9:00am – 9:00pm

The first and last hour of each day, Monday through Sunday, is adult swim only. Adult age is 18.

Smoking

Not allowed in any building.

Golf carts

  • Electric only.
  • Proof of insurance is required.
  • You must be 21 to drive.
  • Carts should only be used to go back and forth between your site and the amenities. Anything deemed to be inappropriate use and the cart will be asked to remain at the site for the remainder of the stay.

Not allowed: electric-powered four-wheel ride-ons, mini-bikes, scooters, hoverboards, roller blades, and skateboards.

A family park

To ensure a fun, family experience for all, please refrain from using rude, vulgar, inappropriate, and political talk. Political signs are not allowed.

When a reservation is made, you agree to all terms and policies above.
